FieldPilot signs OEM deal to bring yard autonomy stack to agriculture
The Toronto company's driver-out track record in intermodal yards becomes the springboard for factory-fitted autonomous tractors from 2028.

FieldPilot has signed its first OEM agreement, licensing its YardOS autonomy platform to a major agricultural equipment manufacturer for factory-fitted autonomous tractors beginning in 2028. Neither party disclosed terms; the OEM is expected to announce the partnership at its capital markets day next month.
The deal validates a thesis FieldPilot has pursued since 2017: that constrained, private-land environments — yards, terminals, farms, mines — are where driver-out autonomy reaches commercial scale first, unburdened by public-road regulation.
The company says its yard operations have logged 1.2 million driver-out miles across two US intermodal hubs since 2024, with a teleassist intervention rate now below one per 300 miles.
